A Trip to Brussels

This year, I had a visit to Brussels which is the capital of Belgium. And I’m going to give a general description about the Grand-Place Brussels which attracted me most.

When we just got there, we were lucky to come across a festival of flowers which consisted of millions of real flowers that could stay fresh for four days. Tourists around the world came to admire it. Then we went up to the second floor of its surrounding building to view the great sight which was so magnificent that everyone couldn’t stop praising it.

As we all know, the Belgian chocolate has earned a great reputation around the world, and I think that’s something you can’t miss out on if you go over there. As we walked around, we felt as if we were wandering through the chocolate kingdom. Going inside, with a variety of tastes of chocolate in front of us, actually makes it more difficult for people to make a satisfying choice.

Walking along the street, our attention was suddenly caught by the Manneken Pis in memory of a boy who had prevented the town from being destroyed by an enemy from Germany. Considered as a symbol of bravery and friendliness, many people were taking photos of it.

Sitting at the street corner and feeding the doves with bread, we felt really relaxed and at ease. Being here, makes one feel so far removed from the stressfulness of daily life. Anyway, I think Brussels is a place really worth visiting.
